On May 9th, 2022, SANAD’s team gathered at the Club Hippique Libanais for its annual retreat. SANAD’s multidisciplinary units presented their annual plans and discussed their goals for the year, then spent some quality time with the horses at the stable.
SANAD’s team attended two capacity building sessions on assessment and management of delirium, insomnia, depression and anxiety in palliative care by Dr. Paul Noufi, medical director of the palliative care section at Medstar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore Maryland USA.
A train-the-trainer (TOT) workshop was facilitated by SANAD’s founding president Lubna Izziddin, as well as Farah Demachkieh and Mira Obeid from the quality, research and development unit and delivered to SANAD’s group of trainers composed of Dr. Pamela Farah (medical coordinator), Zeinab Zebara (nursing director), and Chantale Khadra and Zeina Ramadan from the mental health unit.
