The SHBPP and SANAD continue to join forces for the second year to host medical students as part of the SANAD-SHBPP Joint Volunteer Program. This project aims at offering second year medical students with an opportunity to appreciate to see first-hand the psycho-social dimension of illness. In addition, this experience allows them to gain hands-on experience in volunteerism and to sensitize and equip the students with the skills needed when working with terminally ill persons and their families within the patient’s own environment.
