We were delighted to reflect on our joint efforts towards the national cancer plan, led by the Ministry of Public Health. This significant national initiative aims to advocate for the importance of palliative care in the lives of cancer patients throughout Lebanon.
SANAD and Balsam- The Lebanese Center for Palliative Care – have played an integral role in this initiative. Through our membership in the national cancer plan, we have been steadfast in our commitment to promoting palliative care and ensuring that every patient receives dignified, comforting, and supportive care.
In the picture, part of SANAD’s team, alongside colleagues from Balsam, and Dr. Arafat Tfaily, Oncologist and Co-Lead of the National Cancer Plan committee, at the One Year Review of the National Cancer Plan event. This event was organized by the Ministry of Public Health under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail.
