AT SANAD, WE ENSURE THE PROVISION OF HIGH-QUALITY HOSPICE CARE BY FOLLOWING INTERNATIONAL GUIDELINES AND QUALITY STANDARDS, MAINTAINING ADEQUATE AND ONGOING TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS.
We provide care through a committed hospice care team that consists of doctors, nurses, and clinical psychologists.
Our medical team includes three doctors; two of whom have international certification in palliative care. The medical team is led by a medical director who has more than 20 years of geriatric experience and seven years of palliative and home-hospice care experience.
Our nursing team comprises of six experienced nurses. Our Director of Nursing has eight years of experience in home-hospice care.
We provide Pain and Symptom Management, in accordance with the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) Manual of Palliative Care, and adopt several quality indicators of the National Quality Forum Performance Measures for Palliative and End-of-Life Care.
In 2017, only 24% of referred patients were taking adequate pain relief medications prior to their admission to SANAD. Adequate pain control was provided to the remaining 76%, post-admission to SANAD, ensuring that all SANAD’s patients received adequate pain management.
